Tonight was our first visit to El Charro Taqueria and it was a pleasant experience. The ambiance was better than your run-of-the-mill Mexican restaurant and they even have outdoor seating.

We tried the taco salad al pastor and the shrimp fajitas...both were delicious and filling (what Mexican food isn't?) The taco salad was filled to the top with goodies and the shell was crispy and fresh. The fajitas came with 6 shrimp and the typical accompaniments like red, yellow and green bell peppers, grilled onions, beans and rice.

Room for improvement: the shrimp could have had more flavor, as they were a little on the bland side. I added some salsa to my fajita tortilla filled with shrimp, peppers, onions, beans and rice and that made it taste pretty good.
