I hate to change my previous 5-star rating to a 2-star rating, but here's why:

We arrived at Sozo Sushi at 9:32pm. The sign says they close at 10:00pm. The older lady with glasses told us that they had closed the sushi bar at 9:30pm. I guess that meant she wouldn't be seating us, so we turned around and started to walk out, thinking this was ridiculous. Then she said wait, do you want to place a to-go order? So I guess the sushi bar wasn't closed after all, if they offered to make a to-go order...they just didn't want to seat anyone during the last half hour they proclaim to be "open".

In today's economy, why on earth would any restaurant turn customers away because they arrived 28 minutes before closing time? Don't know...we've been regulars there going 1-3 times per week, but now we're seriously re-thinking if we'll EVER eat there again. If we don't find another sushi restaurant we like, maybe we'll give them another chance in a few months...maybe.
