After a 2-star experience last year, we decided to give Piccola Casa another try...and boy, are we glad we did! :)

We ordered 2 organic mixed greens salads (again - it was delish last time!) and thoroughly enjoyed them. The bread that they offered this time was spectacularly out-of-this-world awesome, freshly baked, piping hot and devilishly carb-a-licious!!! (Did I get the message across that I liked the bread?)

When the server recommended the Paella, I secretly gagged inside (remembering that was the reason why I gave them 2 stars for the first visit) and decided not to even go with his other recommendation of the Pistachio-Crusted Lamb. Obviously we didn't have the same taste! :) Instead, DH and I both ordered the Scallops with Baby Spinach, Roasted Corn and New Potatoes in a Beurre Blanc Sauce. SUPER-CALI-FRAGILISTIC-EXTRA-YUM-DELICIOUS!!!!!!!! Worth every bit of $18, even in this economy.

We shared the same Ghirardelli Chocolate Brownie a la Mode ($1 extra for sharing) and it was a perfect topper to the perfect meal. Yummy!

I wanted to give them 4.5 stars (mostly due to the location) but hey...I always say, "It's all about the food," so it is what it is...5 stars. We'll definitely be back soon!
