This was stop #6 during Livermore's First Barrel Tasting Weekend. It's a little out-of-the-way, but it was worth the drive! I didn't think I was a Cabernet person, but ever since last weekend's Chocolate & Cabernet event at Fenestra I've discovered a new appreciation for Cabernet Sauvignon...especially when it's paired with chocolate!
Not only did El Sol Winery have a nice spread of fruit (delicious fresh strawberries, dried cherries and dried apricots) and an assortment of cheese and nuts, but they also had chocolate brownie bites that really made me a fan their 2004 Cabernet (see pic below)!
